Rainbow Six 3 kommt
January 13, 2004 - Following rumors that the first-person shooter Rainbow Six 3 might be released for GameCube, IGNcube today contacted publisher Ubisoft for clarification. A company spokesperson confirmed that a version of the game is "in the planning stages" for Nintendo's console but was unable to provide any details.
Rainbow Six 3 puts players in control of an elite anti-terrorist unit able to use stealth and high-tech gadgetry to infiltrate the enemy's location and take down resisting forces. The game, which has already enjoyed a successful release on Xbox and was recently announced for PlayStation 2, features a solid single-player experience, but its online portion is downright addictive.
Naturally, IGNcube asked Ubisoft whether or not the GameCube version of Rainbow Six 3 would feature online support, but the publisher didn't have the answer. "For now, we are focusing on the PlayStation 2 version of the game," a spokesperson said.
More information on the GameCube build will be announced later this year, according to Ubisoft.
